Eighteenth-century Brimfield hosts a series of antique shows three times a year, promising vast collections of even the most obscure items. Nearby Sturbridge is the quintessential New England community, filled with antique shops, grassy commons, country orchards and creameries. It is home to Old Sturbridge Village, an 1830s New England living history museum, which boasts both winter and summer displays. Watch demonstrations of ice-cutting; learn how craftsmen and craftswomen created their wares. Exhibits include a clock gallery, firearms, textiles and more. Historic buildings showcase 19th-century furniture, and the working farms feature Heritage Breed animals. Hikers can find miles of trails at Wells State Park, just a short distance from Sturbridge RV Resort.
