Conestoga Campground is located half way between Glacier and Yellowstone national parks on Hwy 89. Conestoga Campground, as you might expect from its name, invokes both the spirit of America’s early travelers and the rugged beauty that inspired pioneers who made the trek to the heart of the old west. Today, the landscape still calls to travelers, enticing them to stop and take notice. Montana is known as the “treasure state,” and this corner of the state lives up to the name. Encircled by 9,000-foot peaks of the Big Belt Mountains, Little Belt Mountains, and Crazy Mountains, the high-country scenery beckons you to explore and discover the wilderness treasures of the surrounding forests, rivers, and lakes teeming with elk, deer, eagles, and more. You can embark on your own outings or take advantage of the local outfitters, who offer hunting, fishing, rafting, and cookouts.
